Indonesia is drowning in plastic waste. A lack of waste management infrastructure paired with overproduction and overconsumption leads to massive environmental pollution.

SampApp is a digital behavior change campaign by Veritas Edukasi Lingkungan Foundation. SampApp is supported by VEL's @bulesampah and SampAssador programs.

Learn everything about Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

SampApp is the only Indonesian app for users like you to learn about the lifecycle of fast moving consumer goods.

While playing through SampApp you watch fun videos, graphics and animations and take part in quizzes. You can increase your level from polluter to a waste ambassador (SampAssador). You can collect XP and points and build your avatar. You can also compete on a leaderboard and see who is the cleanest Indonesian.

SampApp Basic raises awareness for environmental change and provides strategies for consumers on how to reduce, reuse and recycle.

SampApp is VEL's upstream strategy to fight pollution at the source by educating around how to reduce waste, greenhouse gasses and toxicity.

The app builds capacity for waste management, while SampApp fulfills SDGs 4, 11, 12 and 13.

SampApp is designed with fun side missions for users to engage with. For example, you can track your plastic waste footprint, play games like separating waste or identifying common waste sorting mistakes, and take action through social media challenges.

Start as a "Polluter", increase your tier and become a "SampAssador". We issue you certificates for completing each level, that you can upload on your social media or add to your portfolio for job applications.
